Independent private school seeking a qualified teacher (min. Bachelor's degree + teaching degree or certification) to teach and tutor math at the middle and high school levels. Grade levels taught will depend on how applicant's qualifications and strengths complement those of our current teachers. Must be confident in teaching content and techniques from the BJC and BGCSE syllabus.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Studies/History Teacher at a small private school in Nassau, The Bahamas. The Social Studies/History Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons in BJC social studies and BGCSE History. He/she will also be involved in curriculum development to ensure an engaging and comprehensive history education for students.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Bahamian History, World History and American History
  • Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
  • Passion for history education and fostering critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience
  • Experience working with students in grades 7-12
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
