The Senior Software Developer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products throughout the entire development lifecycle.

MC Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our high-performance team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts across various layers (UI, API, Contract, Data) using industry-standard frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers and other teams to identify and implement effective testing strategies within an Agile (Scrum) methodology.
  • Champion a "shift-left" testing philosophy, proactively identifying and preventing defects early in the development cycle.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality through effective testing practices.
  • Analyze test results, diagnose defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Possess strong SQL proficiency to support data-driven testing initiatives.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5-6 years of professional testing experience, including experience working on Agile projects (e.g., following Scrum methodology).
  • Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of quality ownership across all disciplines.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in at least two of the following programming languages: C#, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Kotlin, or Swift (additional coding experience a plus).
  • Experience with UI test automation frameworks and/or API/Contract/Service test automation frameworks:
    • Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestComplate, Selenium, etc.
