The Restaurant Auditor's role is to conduct monthly audits to determine whether branches are adhering to food safety laws and regulations and the JUICI BEEF LIMITED (JBL) Operational Standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Travel to assigned locations to conduct audits.
  • Observe the organisation's food preparation, handling, storage and transportation procedures to identify inefficiencies, fraud and non-compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
  • Identify and communicate issues to branch managers, offering recommended solutions relevant to the business and risk.
  • Prepare reports for submission to management outlining audit results and recommendations to improve operations.
  • Review the organisation’s food safety-related records and documents to verify completeness and consistency.
  • Conduct follow-up audit visits for failures/non-compliance to ensure corrective actions were taken.
  • Attend weekly operation meetings with the Retail Operations Managers.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned.

 

 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE/ PERMITS

 

  • BSc. In Food Safety or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience (in a similar position would be an asset) in a large scale commercial or industrial size company.
  • A valid Food Handler’s Permit

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT(S)

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to handle multiple processes, provide accurate data, and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills.
  • Keen attention to details
  • Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

HYGIENE AND DEPORTMENT

 

  • Proper attire conforming with prescribed company policy.
  • Ensure that nails are kept relatively short and clean
  • Good personal hygiene must be exhibited at all times.
  • Full shoes are to be worn – No slippers
