The Health Services Authority is responsible for the provision and administration of primary and secondary levels of healthcare services and public health functions for residents of the three Cayman Islands through a 127-bed hospital on Grand Cayman, a 18-bed hospital in Cayman Brac, satellite outpatient clinic in Little Cayman and four District Health Centers on Grand Cayman offering the most comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services in a single health system in the Cayman Islands.

We invite applications for the following positions:

REGISTERED NURSE (URGENT CARE)
Salary range: CI$71,640 - CI$96,336 per annum
The Registered Nurse provides high quality nursing care to patients in urgent and emergent situations, educate patients and their families, and provides emotional support.

Primary Responsibilities
: The successful candidate prioritizes nursing care, recognizes deterioration in patients' condition, and escalate appropriately. This includes observing patients: remaining continuously aware of patients' conditions, recording and reporting observations, symptoms, and pertinent information to relevant physicians and nursing personnel. The candidate prepares patients for and assists with examinations or treatments and administers medication through various routes within the scope of practice, while adhering to established standards and protocols. He/she triages or supervises the triage of urgent and ambulatory patients in the units, thus ensuring timely delivery of appropriate care. This includes supervising less-skilled nursing healthcare personnel and assigning patients based on competence and scope of practice. Also provides teaching and educational materials as appropriate validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.

Qualifications & Experience: The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years' current experience as a qualified Registered Nurse in the specialty area mentioned above. A certification in Emergency or Urgent Care Nursing is preferred. All candidates must be registered in either of the following jurisdictions to be eligible to practice in the Cayman Islands; Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and/or Australia. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and possess good communication
and interpersonal skills.
