The Mona School of Business & Management (MSBM) is an institute of the University of the West Indies, (UWI), which is the foremost training institution in the CARICOM region. A part of the UWI’s mission is to unlock West Indian potential for economic and cultural growth by high quality teaching and research aimed at meeting critical regional needs. The UWI has earned this reputation for more than sixty (60) years for its development and delivery of high quality academic programmes, consultancy, outreach services and its public policy research. It is proud to have been the University chosen by nine of the region’s Prime Ministers and to have nurtured two Nobel Laureates.

Mona School of Business & Management (MSBM) is a key plank of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona’s value proposition to its constituents in Jamaica and the region. Specifically, its mandate is to be the arm of the University that facilitates effective business education and practices in the private and public sectors in order to advance the economic development agenda of Jamaica and the region by (1) creating human capital through business and management education programmes, (2) delivering executive education and professional development training, (3) creating intellectual capital through the conduct of research and the dissemination of the findings, (4) providing management consultancy service, and (5) creating social capital through outreach activities in the wider society .
