Manager, Business Intelligence & Budgeting

Purpose of the Role

To bridge financial expertise with business intelligence to guide strategic decisions, manage financial risk, and drive the company’s financial performance.

 Principal Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Business Intelligence Analysts, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members. Ensure that the team is effective, motivated, and aligned with the company's goals.
• Oversee the development and delivery of financial analyses and reports that support strategic decision making.
• Oversee data collection, validation and maintenance to ensure the accuracy, completeness and reliability of financial data used for analysis.
• Drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis through collaborating with internal partners to enhance the tools and technologies required to deliver sound business intelligence.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in reporting practices and ensure that all financial reporting and analysis comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee the identification and analysis of financial risks. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure that they are communicated to senior management.
• Ensure that all financial reporting and analysis comply with relevant laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in reporting practices.

 Minimum Education, Knowledge & Experience

• ACCA or similar professional degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, ability to write SQL queries and use Business Intelligence tools including Microsoft Power BI.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment within which the company operates including compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with audit experience.
