MC Systems(JN Group)

History

Management Control Systems (MC Systems), a technology based company, provides value-added Information Communication Technology (ICT) solutions to businesses throughout the English-speaking Caribbean. Established in 1973, MC Systems has evolved from being a payroll processing bureau to one of the largest ICT companies in the Caribbean.

A member of the JN Group, MC Systems is a market leader in technology with many “firsts” to its credit. One of its major successes was the development of an E-Commerce Money Transfer Solution in 2001, which placed the operations of its parent organization, the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) on the cutting edge of the money transfer market in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

MC Systems also provides varied IT solutions that include awarding winning software, such as web-based payroll and remittance applications; and a variety of payment systems, using Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals and mobile technologies, including a phone re-charge application at POS.

The IT firm is highly regarded for its consulting and technical support for a number of applications within the finance and related industries, including ACL’s Audit Analytic and Continuous Monitoring software that assures compliance, reduces risk and detects fraud.

The company is the premier supplier to the government, financial and distribution sectors, and transaction processing industries. In addition, MC Systems provides services in other areas of the technology arena such as Business Analysis and IT Infrastructure Services, which include Virtualization, Blade Servers and Storage Solutions, as well as IP Communications Solutions.

Awards

Over the years, MC Systems has won several awards including: the “Best Small Business Solution” in the Caribbean and Latin America region for its Best BizPayCental.com solution and the “Best e-Commerce Site Award” for the Caribbean from Microsoft and the “Innovation Award” for Latin America and the Caribbean, from VeriFone for its Digicel Flex e-card product.

And, in 2012 the company and its General Manager, Mrs. Dianne Smith-Sears received a Diebold Award from Diebold Incorporated for pioneering its recycling Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in the Caribbean. The first machine was installed at the JN Financial Services centre in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay, in March of that year.
