JOB SUMMARY

Market Modern Electrical Supplies Limited’s (MESL) Lighting, Electrical products and Services to new and existing accounts such as builders, contractors, lighting showrooms, electrical wholesalers, developers and consultants. You will be supported by and work with a success driven team as you sell our products and manage our business relationships.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a wide range of customers, including builders, designers and homeowners to sell a wide range of MESL’s electrical products with the goal of developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing their requirements.
  • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how the product best meets the clients’ needs.
  • Respond to Request for Quotations with accurate pricing, quantity and time for delivery information.
  • Prepare job quotations and submittals as and when required.
  • Assist customers, both by appointments and walk-ins, by utilizing suggestive sales techniques and handling complaints in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge in order to promote a professional image in the field.
  • Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond the point of purchasing.
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
  • Assist in the training of internal sales support staff.
  • Establish, develop and maintain excellent business relationships with current and prospective customers, vendors and colleagues to foster "customers for life".
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports weekly, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, expense reports and other necessary paperwork.
  • Any other duties related to your job functions.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Time management of your time between the office and visiting clients on a weekly basis.
  • Ability to comprehend electrical drawings, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities and Single line drawings to ensure completeness and conformance to electrical code and the design and scope of the project.
  • Experience and familiarity with Lighting controls systems and their installation.
  • Good practical and numeracy skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and projects.
  • Creativity and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to follow technical and design instructions.
  • Awareness of health and safety.
  • A full secondary school certificate which includes Mathematics and English or its equivalent

Has an excellent understanding of the external and internal environments and MESL’s competitive markets. Utilize the Business Development Unit’s strategies to achieve targets.

Identify the potential risks and associated benefits of business development for MESL, optimizing profitability through the effective management of resources available.

Develop strategies to satisfy the customers’ needs and the ability to influence employees to provide good customer service.

 

Communication:

Communicate strategies to a diverse workforce and mange relationships to accomplish MESL‘s and departmental goals. Maintain open and consistent communications.
