Junior Accountant

We are currently recruiting for the role of Junior Accountant.

 The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Core duties include:

• Full maintenance of accounts payables
• Posting of entries to the general ledger e.g. income journals
• Preparation of daily management reports
• Preparation of GCT returns
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Payroll processing
• Timely preparation of monthly statutory reports
• Performance of general accounting duties as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• An Associate Degree or Diploma in Accounting or alternate Accounting qualification
• A minimum of 2 years continuous experience in accounting. 
• Experience in the hospitality sector is an asset
• Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of QuickBooks and Oasys or other similar accounting and payroll software
• Detail- and deadline-oriented with the ability to multi-task
• High level of confidentiality, reliability and responsibility
• Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.
