JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Ledger Maintenance (posting of journals)
  • Reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledger
  • Preparation of Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparation of Audit Schedules
  • Preparation of performance reports for intermediaries
  • Daily monitoring of bank accounts to ensure all bank transactions are recorded

         

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ACCA Level 2 or equivalent but relevant area of study

SPECIFIC SKILLS OR COMPETENCES REQUIRED

  • Sound Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on the use of excel and word
  • Sound problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Aspires to becoming a chartered accountant and is actively pursuing studies or have plans to commence studies within the next 6 months
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Good customer relation skills 
  • Sound integrity/ethics exercised in the execution of duties
