About Us:

The National Housing Trust (NHT) is a dynamic organisation that uses innovative technology solutions to achieve its goals and effectively serve its customers. As part of its commitment to excellence, we seek a highly skilled IT Software Development Manager to lead in our Information Technology Innovation Centre.

Position Summary:

The IT Software Development Manager will be pivotal in guiding teams in designing, developing, implementing, optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software programs and applications. This position involves crafting short—and long-term strategies for scalable software product and service development, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery while meeting quality standards and aligning with the NHT’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

-       Lead the application development team in designing, coding, testing, and debugging new applications and enhancements.

-       Manage all activities of the software development team, establishing clear goals for each member.

-       Employ DevOps principles to streamline development workflows and ensure continuous integration and deployment.

-       Innovate by creating new functionalities and integrating innovative technologies to benefit the NHT and its stakeholders.

-       Define project scope, establish timelines, and allocate resources effectively to ensure success.

-       Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather comprehensive project requirements.

-       Manage software development budgets and expenses effectively, optimizing resource utilization.

-       Present and launch new products to customers, ensuring successful adoption in the market.

 

Qualification and Experience: 

-       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

-       Certification in project management would be an asset.

-       Additional certification or training in DevOps, Agile, or Scrum methodologies preferred.

-       Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software design and development, including three years in project planning and management.

-       Expertise in .NET Framework, SQL Server, JavaScript Frameworks, React, C#, and Entity Framework.

 Additional Requirements

-       Demonstrated ability to contribute strategically to operational planning, including preparing detailed departmental plans aligned with organizational objectives.

-       Proven history in developing and implementing operational systems and procedures to optimize workflows and drive efficiency.

-       Strong expertise in proposing and implementing new technologies, supported by a thorough research and analysis background.

-       Experience coordinating audit responses and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability.

-       Successful leadership of customer service improvement programs, resulting in increased satisfaction levels and continuous improvement.

-       Proficiency in preparing comprehensive progress reports to track project milestones and outcomes effectively.

-       History of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive collaborative initiatives and achieve shared objectives.

-       Leadership experience managing software development activities, including leading application development teams and defining project scope.

-       Proven ability to innovate new functionalities and successfully launch new products to customers, driving successful market adoption.

-       Experience developing training and development plans to foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.
