IT Business Applications Specialist

ERP Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of our ERP and related systems to meet the operational needs of the organisation. 

Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable technical requirements. 

System Analysis: Analyse existing software applications and integrations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance functionality and efficiency. 

Application Implementation: Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and work with our vendors and engineers to implement solutions to streamline their business processes. 

Training:Develop and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in utilizing the applications effectively, ensuring that the relevant stakeholders are aware and equipped to execute as needed. Engage in ongoing personal training and development to become / maintain status of Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all manufacturing software applications linked to the company’s ERP and overall Digital Transformation initiatives. Documented knowledge transfer to support internal stakeholders and facilitate a sustainable and standardised learning environment. 

Customer Support:Provide prompt and effective support to resolve internal customer inquiries and issues related to said systems. 

Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical support, diagnose and resolve issues, and offer timely solutions to end-users, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.  

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation in keeping with the SYSTEMology/SystemHUB Framework.  Contribute to process engineering and development of operating procedures in keeping with best practice, including user guides, work instructions, troubleshooting manuals and videos, specific to ERP systems, to assiststakeholders in using these applications effectively. 

Quality Assurance:Participate in quality assurance testing these systems to identify and report software defects and enhancements. Provide project support/oversight to vendor supported activities to ensure delivery of high-quality effective product.  Conduct continuous application assessments to identify successful and unsuccessful elements, recommending and rolling out agreed corrective action where applicable. 

Product Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback related to Core ERP and related systems to the product/business transformation team to improve these applications. 

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to ERP system management. 

Data Governance:Contribute to development of effective data architecture and information management. Identify and execute best practices for data management, including data cleansing, data retention, data quality and data consolidation. 

Communication:Effectively communicate resource needs to direct manger, team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Act as liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis 

Business Intelligence:  Contribute to and utilise business intelligence applications for more informed decision making and providingperiodic reports/ status updates as needed.
