The Terra Nova All Suite Hotel seeks applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of COST CONTROLLER:

The incumbent is responsible for calculating and monitoring the overall cost of the Hotel’s items, perform cost estimating, tracking, analyzing and reporting, establish cost effective controls and valuate performance controls.

 REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
• General understanding of accounting practices and principles.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Experience with automated accounting systems.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of inventory controls/management.
• Good time and stress management skills.
• Technically sound.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong auditing background.
• Highly developed business acumen and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

• Undergraduate Degree with major in Finance, Accounting or a
• Professional Accounting Designation (ACCA/CMA).
• Professional Accounting certification from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position. preferably in a Hospitality environment.
• Experience in an Auditing Environment, an asset.
