Equipment Assistant (Temporary) Guyana - 6 month contract

Job Title: Equipment Assistant (Temporary)

Location: Guyana

Reports to: Equipment & Logistics Supervisor / Branch Manager

This is a 6 month contract.

Job Purpose:

To perform data entry of container’s tracking moves. Produce daily/weekly/monthly updates to team and management and/about the Line on equipment situation and immediate requirements. Manage full and empty overdue containers effectively within the Line’s guidelines for long idle day containers. Liaise with the terminal operators, develop and build robust relationships between the Agency and Terminals so as to support an efficient and accurate reporting system.

Duties:

• Producing daily/weekly/monthly reports regarding depot/port moves and tracking movements;

• Performing Port/Terminal visits to verify container(s) inclusive of gathering picture data on location of missing/lost/stolen containers and assess liability with relevant information and documents;

• Liaising with Operations Unit and Commercial Unit (specifically Export) with the intent to assist in their equipment needs;

• Ensuring relevant reports are maintained and filed in the event of providing support towards investigations stemming from claims, etc.; and

• Delivering reports in an accurate and timely manner.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Secondary School Graduate with full CXC/CSEC certificate – inclusive of English and Math.

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Computer Literate – Microsoft Office Suite

• Autonomous, proactive and responsive with organizational skills; and

• Capable of performing within a Team-Oriented environment.
