Massy Wood is recruiting for a Commercial Coordinator with considerable experience in an EPC type environment within the oil and gas industry.

 

Overview / Responsibilites

 

Supports Strategy and Development Manager with delivery of contract administration and commercial activities to contract managers, ensuring all commercial procedures are followed and reviewed.

 

With minimal supervision performs commercial activities including post award contract start up and administration, in addition to contract commercial close out activities.

 

Job Role:

  • Promotes safe working practices within commercial function.
  • Performs post award administration including ensuring that the contract is set up correctly in the appropriate business system, start-up procedures are followed, ensuring commercial models and scope of delivery are understood by the contract management team, rate reviews are completed, change is captured in contract variations / amendments and commercial administration files are established and maintained.
  • Administers the contract close out process to ensure complete account of all actions, and providing support to all stakeholders to ensure timely closure, with regular reporting on progress and escalation as required.
  • Provides commercial support to the Contract Managers, maintaining a commercial action log, following up to ensure timely closure of actions and escalation as required.
  • Administers the PAAF process for client contracts.
  • Administers the RTS process from the maintaining log of requests from internal clients, to updating log on SharePoint site, to routing for signatures and distribution to all as required.
  • Administers the Price Books process for client contracts, liaising with Client and Internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Interfaces with client as and when required for PAAFs and Price Books processing.
  • Provides commercial support to contract finance personnel to ensure contract commercial compliance.
  • Liaises with various internal customers with regards to commercial management, risk reviews, corporate reporting and contractual discussions.
  • Liaison with various internal customers (Contract / Project Managers, Engineers) in all areas of commercial management, problem solving and dispute resolution with clients.
  • Enhance project delivery and avoid any risk or commercial exposure to Massy Wood.
  • Prepares monthly commercial management reports and input to monthly Contract Performance Reviews
  • Contribute directly to value creation and commercial gain to Massy Wood and Clients.

 

Qualifications

The Commercial Coordinator must have good communication skills, with the drive to manage and deliver Massy Wood's core values and commercial processes and procedures in an ethical manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or, Commerce from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualifications desirable but not essential.

 

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar leadership / supervisory role or professional qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in negotiation, claims & dispute resolution.
  • Experience in drafting and interpretation of contractual documentation.
  • Competent in change management.
