Job Summary: Responsible for and daily supervise areas with the Casino Accounting Department to ensure an effective and efficient audit process. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Provide monthly reports to the Assistant Financial Controller of all Casino Accounting matters, including but not limited to the following:

  • Compliance, and/or non-compliance, with standard operating procedures
  • Compliance, and/or non-compliance with established cross-training initiatives
  • The adequacy of Accounting and Internal Controls and instances of non-compliance; and weaknesses in the system of Accounting and Internal Controls and recommended actions for eliminating them.
  • Provide general day to day supervision to all areas of the Casino Accounts Department
  • Every day, review and ensure that all daily audits are conducted checking details for accuracy. Provide bi-weekly reports to the Assistant Financial Controller regarding the performance and progress of each Income Auditor and Senior Income Auditor
  • Daily, ensure that the Casino Slots and Table Games Performance and Comparative Reports are accurate, timely and balanced to relevant source documents and the general ledger
  • Daily, ensure that all gaming board statistical and other reports are accurately completed and issued within the time frames allowed
  • Review the Casino Summary to ensure that it has been updated daily
  • Ensure that all audit exceptions are properly documented and reported to the appropriate Department Heads for timely responses
  • Ensure that the exception report analysis is consistently updated and distributed to appropriate personnel
  • Assist in the preparation, investigation and analysis of the Income Statement
  • Assist with the preparation and detailed reconciliation of the balance sheet
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Financial Controller and the Financial Controller, review and update standard operating procedures on a semi-annual basis;
  • Prepare and monitor programs for staff training and cross training and ensure that all persons in the department are involved. Provide monthly reports to the Assistant Financial Controller regarding the progress of each Income Auditor and Senior Income Auditor
  • Coordinate the colleague recognition and reward program and, where possible, offer recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations, offer recommendations for promotions, and conduct disciplinary action based on objective evidence of performance and/or conduct and in compliance with the company's policies on such matters
  • Manage the Manual Document Tracking System and provide monthly reports to the Assistant Financial Controller
  • Order and monitor use of office supplies
  • Performs other reasonable duties as may be assigned by your Department Head or Management

Required Qualifications:
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends and late night
  • Associate Degree with a minimum of five (5) years experience in the area.
  • Good written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • The ability to direct and supervise people.
