Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verifies the opening balance and totals of receivables with the new balance of figures from the previous shift.
  • Checks inventory.
  • Issues floats to Cage Cashier.
  • Issues cash to Window Cashier upon request.
  • Receives and verifies cash drop from the Soft Count.
  • Receives and verifies cash and cash equivalents from the Main Slot Bank.
  • Issues cash to the Main Slot Bank.
  • Receives and verifies cash and cash equivalents from Cage Cashiers.
  • Prepares daily bank deposits to Scotia Bank and City National Bank of Florida Verifies summary totals with Fill and Marker Banks and the balance Recapitulation Sheet.

Fill Bank Cashier

  • Ensures the proper operation of the Fill Bank in compliance with Gaming Board requirements, company's internal control procedures and departmental regulations.
  • Ensures accuracy of Fill Bank inventory prior to engaging in Cage or Table transactions.
  • Issues chips, coins and tokens to game tables as per request for fill.
  • Receives from gaming tables, chips, coins and token as indicated on Chip Transfer Form.
  • Receives from the Main Bank necessary documentation of transfers, with signatures and gaming numbers thereon.
  • Verifies all transactions for accuracy incoming and outgoing.
  • Ensures the working area is kept tidy at all times.
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly functioning, and malfunctions are reported to the Supervisor within a short period of time.
  • Performs other reasonable duties requested by Management.

Marker Bank Cashier
  • Ensures the smooth operation and balance of the Marker Bank.
  • Verifies the opening balances and total receivables with the new balance figures from the previous shift.
  • Verifies the opening balance and total receivables with the new balance figures from the previous shift.
  • Compares Miami inventory tape with Miami figures and closeout sheet.
  • Ensures that the bank is in balance at the beginning of the shift by comparing the totals on the closeout sheet to the totals on the C.M.S. Report.
  • Checks non-assign report.
  • Checks front money report.
  • Ensures all name creditvouchers agree with markers e.g. correct name, correct amount, correct marker number, signature agree with printed name.
  • Ensures that all redemption vouchers agree with marker: name, marker number and amount.
  • Checks envelopes on the board to ensure that the printed name and signature agree, and the amounts in writing and figures agree.
  • Checks the hold checks report.
  • Balances bank and compares totals to the computer printout at the close of the shift.
  • Performs other reasonable duties requested by Management.

Front Window Cashier
  • Responsible for all transactions dealing with cash, cheques, chips, etc., from casino patrons using impress inventories.
  • Performs duties in Fill Bank, Main Bank, Marker Bank, and Front Window as schedule.
  • Receives cash and chips from patrons for Marker Redemption.
  • Receives chips from patrons in exchange for cash.
  • Receives traveler's cheques and other cash equivalent from patrons in exchange for cash.
  • Receives cash and chips from patrons in exchange for customer deposit receipts.
  • Receives markers from Marker Bank Cashier to be returned to patrons for Redemption (cash, cheques, etc.).and Obtains credit applications.
  • Verifies all transactions with other banks.
  • Attends training when requested, to ensure the proper skills necessary to perform duties.
  • Ensures all equipment are properly functioning within the Front Window area, ensures that all malfunctions are reported to your supervisor in a short period of time.
  • Attends meeting as requested.
  • Maintains a sound knowledge of the company's facilities and related services.
  • Ensures a complete understanding of and adhere to the company's fire and safety procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information received at all times.
  • Performs all other reasonable duties required by Management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Able to obtain Gaming Board License
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passing grade in Bahamas General Certification Secondary Education Examination in Mathematics
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Previous banking or cashier experience
