Jamaica’s leading manufacturer and distributor of food and beverages, seeks to hire a Brand Manager to support our dynamic growth.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Brand Manager acts a steward of the brand portfolio, and is focused on developing the brand within the assigned business objectives; including equity, sales, revenue, awareness and brand health. The incumbent will be responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration to maximize brand impact, manage product portfolios and enhance customer loyalty, ultimately contributing to the achievement of business objectives and market leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for market share, brand equity & brand health measures for the brands managed.
  • Using grounded consumer insight to plan, direct and manage marketing efforts, to achieve maximum return on investment.
  • Ensure alignment of brand plans with the overall business growth strategy, and with other functions throughout the business. Work closely with all internal functional teams to ensure a coordinated approach to marketing planning and execution.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand budget, and facilitate the approval process providing any information and data required, manage the budget along the year in line with internal procedure for expenses approval and track actual vs. budget.
  • Develop or guide the development of agency briefs for all elements of the marketing mix and day-to-day agency management
  • Uphold brands standards and guidelines to ensure consistency of brand messaging.
  • Be a representative of the brand in the market for relevant PR purposes
  • Meet with agencies, clients, and work with colleagues across multiple departments such as Marketing, Sales 
  • Oversee direct reports to ensure consolidated tracking of brand spend, to be shared with the Consumer Marketing Manager.
  • Oversee the development and generation of monthly reports to speak to brand performance against planned activities, for assessment.
  • As a people manager, lead and inspire direct reports fostering professional growth, collaboration, and a culture of excellence to achieve departmental and organizational objectives

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Management or equivalent

 Required Experience:

  • 3-5 year’s marketing experience
  • Brand management experience
  • Proven experience managing consumer brands
  • Manufacturing, Beverage or FMCG Experience preferred
  • People management experience preferred
