Advertising Placement Coordinator

The Jamaica Observer Limited – A member of the IRE Group of Companies is seeking to recruit an Advertising Placement Coordinator. He/She will be responsible for retrieving, checking quality and converting all advertisements to EPS format to link into the system.

Advertising Placement Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Provide runsheet for the Graphic Arts Department and Sales Team upon request.
• Provide advertising layout to the Pre-press department if artwork reproductions require special attention.
• Retrieve, check and convert advertisements to PDF format and link/upload to publication date folders; process artwork for print jobs as well as special features and daily publications to ensure that the specifications as per our artwork guidelines are met.
• File and log late artwork to Pre-Press.
• Complete and present required reports.
• Ensure that indemnity letters are received as per artwork received.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by his/her direct reports.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Secondary level education with at least 4 CXC/GCE passes including English language and mathematics.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

Specific Skills and Competencies Required:

• Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Indesign CS6.
• Ability to quickly grasp our working platform.
