The Role

The Senior Billing Associate is responsible for overseeing the accurate billing and dissemination of invoices for a designated portfolio of accounts. The role supports billing operations, resolves invoice disputes, maintains billing accuracy, and assists with process improvements to ensure efficient billing and receivables activities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee the accurate billing and dissemination of invoices for assigned accounts.
• Ensure compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
• Support Billing Team members in responding to customer disputes and billing enquiries within established timelines.
• Research and escalate billing issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
• Complete billing completeness checks and accompanying reports.
• Assist with improving billing efficiency and billing processes.
• Support team success through coaching, feedback, and collaboration.
• Assist in resolving client disputes and reconciliation issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and process updates.
• Ensure billing errors and invoice disputes are resolved within required timelines.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding issues affecting the order-to-cash cycle.
• Prepare updates and reports for discussion with the Team Lead and Supervisor.
• Update billing completeness and revenue tracker variance reports.
• Support the team in achieving billing timelines and departmental KPIs.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting, Associate Degree, or equivalent qualification
• Working knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Minimum two (2) years' experience involving customer service and/or billing processes
• Experience with dispute resolution and customer communication
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
