The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support across business units and be required to:
• Apply operating system and application updates, patches and configuration changes.
• Install and configure new server hardware and software.
• Add, remove, or update user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
• Document server configurations.
• Troubleshoot reported server hardware or software problems.
• Analyze server logs and application logs to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Monitor and tune systems performance for the operating systems and applications.
• Perform routine audits of systems and software.
• Perform back up of server and applications software.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology field.
• Certification as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).
• Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience as a Systems Administrator, or similar capacity.
• Experience in system design and development would be an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge of how to manage and maintain server and storage hardware.
• Familiarity with Blade/Enclosure servers.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with personnel across all levels of the organization.
