We are currently seeking to fill the position of Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Assistant Professor of MICROBIOLOGY at BIMS SOM & HP. Specific Position Requirements:
Education: A PhD and/or MD degree in Microbiology of at least 5 years’ duration
Experience:
- At least five years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical science students in Microbiology and Immunology.
- At least 3 years’ experience in teaching Microbiology & Immunology.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of educational technologies, integrated learning, and online delivery methods of Microbiology & Immunology courses and programs at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience in active learning is preferred.
- Experience in a collaborative approach to education is preferred.
- Open to non-traditional research.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Teach students in the clinically oriented Microbiology & Immunology at the undergraduate and graduate levels using state-of-the-art technology and online media.
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress in the course
- Contribute to the development of the Microbiology & Immunology program.
- Conduct research and produce publications (in peer-reviewed journals) in the discipline of Microbiology & Immunology and related areas.
- Contribute actively to the development and affairs of the Department and the Institution.
- Other duties as assigned by the College Leadership.
