To manage, measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and organize and maintain inventory and storage areas

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow up on timely maintenance of all equipment used, such as Forklifts, Stackers, Tablets, Computers and follow up on the repair of equipment in the shortest possible time.

• Oversee the timely review and accurate processing of all load requests for customers to stage, prepare load plans or load goods for customers.

• Collaborate with Sales/Distribution team to facilitate On Time and In Full Loads.

• Manage the timely clearance of goods from the production floor, off-loading of import containers and off-loading of checked in trucks to mitigate production shutdowns, import demurrage, and stock counting inaccuracies

• Oversee that received goods are stored on racks, appropriate floor space in storage areas or neatly organized in staging areas according to prescribed procedures.

• Oversee that stored goods are retrieved on a timely basis to support on time and accurate load preparation and loading.

• Timely reporting of any (potential) receipt or storing issues that can affect customer service, stocks or department efficiency.

• Have stocks segregated, identified and stored in such a manner as to avoid inaccurate stocks or incorrect or poor-quality deliveries.

• Coordinate goods in an orderly manner in the staging areas according to prescribed standard.

• Oversee the loading of all local and export requests, ensuring compliance with required standard including expected standard for product quality and load organization.

• Carry out physical checks or monitoring for all loads on all delivery vehicles, including exports, according to prescribed procedures

• Validate accuracy of documentation and reported quantities that support all transactions recorded in the system, including but not limited to: Production postings; transfers as it relates to loads fulfillment, damages, and unloads, to and from truck sites and between truck sites, to direct sales sites and export sites; stock adjustments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 CXC passes including Math, English and Accounts
  • Accounting certification would be considered an asset
  • Certificate in Warehouse Management or equivalent 
  • More than 5 years’ working experience within a Warehouse environment.
