The Vice President, Administration & Operations is more than an administrative role; it is a leadership position that ensures TCICC’s environment, systems, and infrastructure are aligned with our mission of academic excellence and student success. This executive leader will not only manage operations but will also inspire trust, drive transformation, and build the foundations upon which teaching, learning, and innovation can thrive.
The Role
Reporting to the President/CEO, the Vice President, Administration & Operations (VPAO) provides strategic and operational leadership for:
- Office Management & Executive Administration
- Campus Management (facilities, security, logistics, space planning, maintenance, environmental health & safety)
- Information Technology (infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, user support, digital transformation)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for campus operations, ensuring that all TCICC sites embody safe, reliable, and student- and staff-centred environments that enable academic and institutional excellence.
- Shape and advance the College’s digital and IT strategy, positioning technology, cybersecurity, and digital tools as enablers of innovation in teaching, learning, and administration.
- Elevate standards of executive and office management, ensuring governance, records, and service protocols reflect professionalism, accountability, and international best practice.
- Steer long-term facilities and campus development planning, integrating sustainability, resilience, business continuity, and vendor/contractor accountability into the College’s operational vision.
- Chair and influence strategic operational committees, using data, KPIs, and risk intelligence to strengthen decision-making and embed a culture of service excellence.
- Exercise strategic stewardship of the campus management budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with institutional priorities and compliance standards.
- Embed systems and policies rooted in global quality frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 principles) to drive continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Lead transformative initiatives across operations and infrastructure, creating more efficient, sustainable, and accessible campuses that elevate the student and staff experience.
- Foster strong institutional partnerships, working collaboratively with Finance, HR, Academic Affairs, Student Services, Procurement, government bodies, and external stakeholders to align operations with TCICC’s mission and national development goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Management, Public Administration, Operations, Facilities/Engineering Management, Information Systems, or related field (Doctoral degree is an asset).
- 8–10+ years progressive leadership in operations/administration across multi-site environments preferably in higher education or public sector.
- Demonstrated success leading facilities/campus operations and IT service delivery at scale.
- Proven experience with business continuity, risk and compliance, contracts/vendor management, and service-level KPIs.
- Budget planning and oversight experience for an operational portfolio
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015), safety standards, and records/document control.
Compensation
Salary Per Annum: USD87,398.00 - USD101,355.00
Allowances Per Annum: USD12,600.00
Location
Grand Turk with travel to the other islands to fulfil strategic responsibilities.
