Job Summary

The Technician (E&I) III is responsible for maintaining and optimizing plant operations by executing the electrical and instrumentation maintenance program to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment, maximizing reliability and uptime. This role involves troubleshooting, calibration, installation, and testing, with a focus on maintaining compliance with ISO standards and company procedures 

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission equipment to meet operational requirements, ensuring compliance with company standards. 
• Calibrate instruments according to ISO procedures to ensure operational accuracy and compliance. 
• Respond to callouts promptly to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues, minimizing downtime and preventing operational disruptions. 
• Conduct routine electrical and instrumentation testing of equipment and installations in accordance with PM schedules and industry standards, to ensure functionality and safety. 
• Assist in high-voltage work under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure safe operations. 
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems to identify and resolve operational issues effectively. 
• Maintain proper housekeeping in work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment. 
• Log daily activities accurately to maintain traceability and support compliance with maintenance protocols. 
• Supervise contracted labour during maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. 
• Conduct low and medium voltage checks on electrical systems to verify operational integrity and identify issues. 
• Prepare for shutdowns by inspecting equipment and ensuring required spares and tools are available, to ensure equipment and systems are properly maintained for plant maintenance. 
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely delivery of services and materials. 
• Perform additional duties as required by management to support overall operational goals and organizational success. 

• Instrument Technician Diploma or equivalent 
• EEET/ MEEET 
• 5+ years of experience in similar industry
• Knowledge of instrument industrial electrical, valves and actuators, calibration 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
