Spanish Grain Store Limited invites applicants for the position-

SALES ASSOCIATE

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit customer locations and conduct customer needs assessments.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads through research and networking.
  • Prepare monthly reports on customer purchasing patterns, sales trends and opportunities for product upselling and cross-selling.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Receivable Department regarding customer account issues and collections.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in accordance with company standards.
  • Address customer concerns and communicate issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities and market intelligence.
  • Achieve established sales targets and performance objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in sales and customer service.
  • Experience in wholesale and retail would be an asset.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive customer relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership, initiative and decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Special Requirements

  • Valid Food Handler's Permit.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations
  • Operate a motor vehicle
