Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance and Safety Auditor ensures the highest levels of quality and safety in all AOC operations. This role includes conducting audits, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate records, and continuously improving safety and efficiency within the airline.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and spot checks on documentation and records
Conduct internal audits of procedures, practices, and documentation
Collaborate with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections and audits
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, findings, and audit reports
Review and approve records, logbooks, and technical documentation
Ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, and filed appropriately
Identify and report non-conformance and quality issues; recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Monitor and verify the implementation of CAPAs and track their effectiveness
Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel on quality standards, regulations, and best practices
Promote a culture of quality and safety awareness within the organization
Stay updated on aviation regulations and quality standards
Support the Head of Compliance in maintaining the organization’s approvals and certifications
Identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements
Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives
Prepare and submit regular quality assurance reports and metrics to senior management
Communicate findings, recommendations, and audit results to relevant departments
Participate in the preparation, planning, and execution of IOSA audits with the IOSA project team
Support IOSA compliance documentation, including gap analyses and corrective action plans
Liaise with other departments to ensure alignment with IOSA standards
Assist during IOSA audits as a subject matter expert on maintenance and quality systems
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Associate degree in Aviation, Quality Assurance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation quality assurance
Relevant certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., ECCAA, FAA, EASA)
Pilot’s license desirable
ECCAA Type approval a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with auditing, inspection, and quality control processes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
