Join our client as a Purchasing and Inventory Assistant! You’ll play a key role in coordinating purchase orders, managing supplier relations, and maintaining accurate inventory records to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Purchasing & Inventory Assistant

Our client is seeking an Purchasing & Inventory Assistant responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial information to support the update and maintenance of general ledger accounts. This role also provides key support in warehouse operations and supplier coordination.


Key Duties

  • Prepare all purchase orders and obtain relevant approvals.

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure purchase orders are fulfilled promptly.

  • Assist in the daily management of warehouse operations.

  • Update accounting software daily for all inventory issued.

  • Collaborate with the Inventory Controller to ensure accuracy and completeness of through-put volumes.

  • Generate invoices for products based on volumes and through-put fees.

  • Liaise with the Customs Department regarding daily product volume off-takes from Fairy Valley.

  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervising Officer.


Knowledge and Skills

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) CXCs, including Mathematics and Accounting.

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in an accounting or warehousing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Basic knowledge of an accounting software package.

 

Core Competencies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Good time management and organizational skills.
