Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s procurement and sourcing activities. This role will focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating with suppliers, managing budgets, and ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services critical to our distribution operations. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality supply of goods and services.
• Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation, selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Oversee procurement budgets and ensure compliance with internal controls and approval processes.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply risks to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, inventory, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with demand planning.
• Monitor supplier contracts to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and negotiated terms.
• Implement and improve procurement systems, policies, and best practices.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and budget adherence.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in sales and distribution or FMCG sectors.
• Strong knowledge of competitive sourcing, procurement regulations, and cost management principles.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts and relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume distribution environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional procurement projects.
