The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of engineering and maintenance functions.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of engineering and maintenance functions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for Engineering and Maintenance in line with company objectives.

  • Participate in key Maintenance planning meetings and support cross-functional collaboration.

  • Oversee budgets and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and goal achievement.

  • Promote a culture of Total Productive Maintenance with training programs for staff.

  • Implement and maintain work order systems and CMMS

  • Optimize Preventative Maintenance programs to reduce downtime, defects, and costs.

  • Apply reliability engineering principles to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

  • Manage engineering projects from planning to completion within budget and timelines.

  • Provide technical guidance, support, and innovative solutions to production and maintenance teams.

  • Track and report KPIs, including OPE, OEE, and Preventative Maintenance Compliance.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Ensure all activities meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Identify potential risks in maintenance and engineering activities and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Develop contingency plans with Executive Management for critical operations.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Plant Manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a Maintenance Manager role
  • Experience in a unionized environment 
  • Knowledge of OSH requirements and Quality procedures
  • Excellent supervisory, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent project management and reporting skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
