We are in search of a Maintenance Manager Hotel Zone to support the Resort Maintenance Manager with managing the Hotel Zone (Operations) by attending to all maintenance issues related to rooms division, central areas, kitchen, restaurants and spa.

We are in search of a Maintenance Manager Hotel Zone to support the Resort Maintenance Manager with managing the Hotel Zone (Operations) by attending to all maintenance issues related to rooms division, central areas, kitchen, restaurants and spa and preserve the property, facilities and hotel equipment in optimal operating conditions, as well as management, training and development of the team in this section.

 

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Analyze monthly the expenses of the department comparing them with the budgets.
  • Assign tasks to the collaborators in charge. Weekly or daily.
  • Attend the meetings programs by the general manager. 
  • Authorize extra time through the abrhil system.
  • Train employees continuously.
  • Control the supply of work material through the corresponding work orders.
  • Coordinate the development of works with the contractor personnel, supervising the quality of the materials and the correct application of the specifications of the contract.
  • Coordinate visits to different areas to see areas of opportunity.
  • Check and approve the material they request for maintenance. 
  • Develop work schedules of the staff in charge in Excel.
  • Establish systems that will be followed in requests for corrective maintenance work.
  • Plan, direct and supervise the performance of the work in coordination with the Assistant Managers and supervisors.
  • Perform frequent meetings with the staff in charge. 
  • Make the requisition to the purchasing department, for missing materials and equipment through the 2BEND system
  • Receive notifications of events and make the assignment of collaborators as requested by the departmental heads.
  • Select the employee to hire in coordination with the human resources office. 
  • Request from the general warehouse the material and equipment that is needed through the 2BEND system 
  • Supervise the application of safety regulations and the correct use of safety equipment.
  • Monitor working relationships continuously.
  • Supervise that the activities and work procedures are attached to the previously established time schedules. 
  • Supervise that the areas of the department are clean and with the appropriate security signs. 
  • Verify logs of the collaborators in charge to check if there are pending and follow up.
  • Verify that all the electrical equipment that has been delivered to the different maintenance areas reaches its final destination.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Facility Management.
  • Certification in Electrical Maintenance & Plumbing.
  • 3 to 5 years’ working as a maintenance manager in a large hotel.
  • Proven experience in Maintenance Operations Management (Central Area, Rooms, Kitchen, Restaurants, Plumbing, Electrical & Spa)
  • Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration, internal operation manuals, implementation and innovation of technologies, personnel management and training.
  • Team management.
