Bioprist Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) is currently seeking to fill the position of Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Assistant Professor of MICROBIOLOGY at BIMS.

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Assistant Professor of MICROBIOLOGY at BIMS SOM & HP. Our curriculum utilizes the problem-solving methodology, which allows our students to adopt a more professional, more team-oriented manner, which prepares them to work successfully in integrated healthcare settings with other health professionals at our modern campus, which will facilitate a continuous learning platform for our students, ensuring the best possible learning experience/environment.

Specific Position Requirements:

 Education: A PhD and/or MD degree in Microbiology of at least 5 years’ duration

Experience:

• At least five years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical science students in Microbiology and Immunology.
• At least 3 years’ experience in teaching Microbiology & Immunology.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of educational technologies, integrated learning, and online delivery methods of Microbiology & Immunology courses and programs at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Experience in active learning is preferred.
• Experience in a collaborative approach to education is preferred.
• Open to non-traditional research.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Teach students in the clinically oriented Microbiology & Immunology at the undergraduate and graduate levels using state-of-the-art technology and online media.
• Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress in the course
• Contribute to the development of the Microbiology & Immunology program.
• Conduct research and produce publications (in peer-reviewed journals) in the discipline of Microbiology & Immunology and related areas.
• Contribute actively to the development and affairs of the Department and the Institution.
• Other duties as assigned by the College Leadership.
