ROLE PURPOSE
ROLE PURPOSE
To manage international and local logistics operations, including transport coordination, customs
brokerage, and supplier interface, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials.

DIMENSIONS
Operational Scope: Responsible for coordinating transport and customs clearance for all project-related
shipments, including oversized and hazardous materials.
Cost & Feasibility: Conducts transport cost analysis and feasibility studies, including customs duties and
import requirements.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensures all shipments comply with Jamaican and international regulations,
including customs documentation and inspection protocols.
Systems Used: Familiarity with logistics platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Power
BI is a plus.

External: Suppliers, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Inspection Agencies, and Regulatory Authorities

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Core: Uphold VINCI and VCGP values. Ensure compliance with logistics policies, IMS, and applicable laws.
Transport Coordination: Manage transport logistics for tenders and projects. Negotiate rates and place
transport orders.
Customs & Brokerage: Prepare and verify customs documentation. Coordinate with customs agents and
ensure regulatory compliance.
Supplier Management: Benchmark and evaluate transport and brokerage suppliers. Maintain relationships
and drive continuous improvement.
Financial Support: Assist in drafting letters of credit and provide data for customs declarations.
Reporting: Track shipments and report logistics performance to project and logistics managers.

•Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fieldor equivalent professional experience
•Experience in international logistics and customs brokerage
•Strong negotiation and coordination skills
•Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation
•Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented
•Able to work independently and collaboratively
•Strong communicationskills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
•Solution orientated approach to issue resolution
•Excellent role model for development of team members and demonstrates required behaviours
to align to project and team objectives
