Laboratory Manager
The BVI Health Services Authority (a client-centered healthcare organization) invites qualified and professional applicants for the position of Laboratory Manager. To provide technical duties with the added responsibility of planning, organizing and directing the daily operation of the department. They actively support the strategic directions, goals and objectives of the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience
v Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry.
v Is qualified as a Laboratory Technologist and certified as appropriate.
v Have 6 or more years of relevant laboratory experience.
Licenses and/or registrations
v Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
v Competence in human resource and systems as evidenced by management training and experiences.
v Must be well versed in all departments of a clinical laboratory.
v Good interpersonal and communication skills.
v Ability to negotiate for laboratory resources.
v Ability to forge supportive partnerships with key stakeholders
v Basic computer knowledge.
v Proficiency in use of laboratory equipment and testing
v Must be courteous and well mannered
v Must possess good customer relation skill
v Must be willing to continually upgrade skills and knowledge
v Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
v Additional languages preferred.
