We are seeking to identify Stilt Walkers who enjoy working with people and creating a fun environment
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Friendly, Fun Interactive Entertainment, while supporting the sales of retail and food & beverages. Each Entertainers primary objective is to exceed our guests' expectations, by giving our Guests The Best. Day. Ever. This position also requires that you know the philosophy and history of Margaritaville Caribbean Group, learn the History of your Restaurant and Jimmy Buffett and also to learn and apply the philosophy of Margaritaville: Mission, Vision and Core Values.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate our Core Values by possessing an entertaining and Fun personality and by adapting to the needs of our guests
- Actively involves the guest in entertainment, dances, sings, plays games
- Demonstrates a commitment to be on time and ready for the shift everyday
- Thrives in a fast paced environment and performs well under stress and pressure. Remains focused on achieving results. Handles challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Attends shift meetings according to your shift schedule
- Communicates in a clear and effective manner. Answers questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- Able and willing to wear mascot attire and develop the character of the mascot for the Location
- Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, guest interaction,and company representation
- Will be required to demonstrate stilt walking ability.
- Able to walk, dance and perform choreographic sequences on stilts .
- Aware of current entertainment trends, including sports, TV, Movies
- Able to do balloon art (minimum of two)
- Assist with decor and props for entertainment events
- Knows Margaritaville Trivia, knows words and dances to Margaritavilles Top Twenty
- Adapts entertainment according to guests age and gender
- Keeps informed of ships locations, tour groups scheduled
- Remains guest focused at all times
- Knowledgeable of Food and beverage menus, able to make recommendations and answer questions
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the dinning room, including floors walls, service areas and tables
- Assist with seating greeting guests
- Follow service bar procedures
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment supplies.
- Actively seeks ways to stay productive during slow times by taking on additional responsibilities
- Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- Completes opening duties in a timely manner
- Works at a steady pace to ensure station is clean, set up and taken down appropriately
- General cleaning duties, daily, and deep cleaning
- Other venue tasks as required by management or leadership
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Be at least 21 years of age. (18 in Jamaica/ ST Thomas)
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 21 years of age. (18 in Jamaica/ST Thomas).

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
- Health permit/food safety card. Staff member is required to obtain cards individually and provide proof of possession prior to first
day of employment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At least secondary education and/ or equivalent skills training
- Have verifiable references of having performed as stilt walker for at least 1 year
- A willingness to work outside in various kinds of weather

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a crew member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work will be performed in a typical restaurant / retail store environment. While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; work with explosives; risk of radiation; and vibration. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, streatching and some minor lifting up to 25 -50 lbs.
While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment maybe moderate to loud.
