Job Title: Product Manager (Fibre)
Primary objective of the job:
The Product Manager is responsible for implementing and driving Digicel’s FTTH Product Strategy by applying a thorough understanding of customer’s needs and new concepts to products features and development. This role is critical to product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with technical, sales, marketing and customer support while coordinating all Go-To-Market activities to launch new products, bundles or features. The right candidate knows the market and has a good understanding of content usage, popular programs, trends into consumption of entertainment and competitor actions. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development, assessment and review of FTTH product and content strategy and product roadmap, Identification of overall content requirements and prospective content sources as it relates to FTTH business objectives, competitors and customer needs in collaboration with Local and Group content management.
- Identifies customer segments and tailors product catalogue to segment needs to ensure optimum positioning of the product in the market place.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, executing changes to existing products and services and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
- Develops creative solutions for product and content presentation, management, workflow and maintenance based on customer understanding.
- Creates naming conventions and product naming.
- Conceives and brainstorms with Marketing, Customer Care, Inbound/Outbound, Customer Experience, Direct Sales, Retails Sales, Legal, Head End and Communications Teams to ensure effective Product roll out.
- Drive product launches including working with PR team, marketing executives, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Manages FTTH stakeholder expectations and ensures projects timely completion.
- Functions as central contact point as product subject matter expert for all product and content related requirements within organization.
- Develop and execute the product and content education and communication strategy for both internal and external stakeholders and customers including use of demos, videos and other tools.
- Brief and train the sales force, customer support and all other related customer touch points on the product set and related promotional positioning.
- Implementation, communication and management of Promotional activities to meet company objectives, consistency with product strategy and customer needs.
- Responsible for the management of the Company’s relationship with Group.
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Business or Engineering degree)
- MBA in Marketing would be considered a valuable asset
- Project management training
- An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
