Role of Marketing Officer The Marketing Officer’s role is to oversee the internal and external marketing campaigns of the IRAD Group & WIROL. S/he will, through collaboration with fellow team members create marketing strategies and campaigns that allow IRAD/ WIROL to maximize their profits.

Role of Marketing Officer

The Marketing Officer’s role is to oversee the internal and external marketing campaigns of the IRAD Group & WIROL. S/he will, through collaboration with fellow team members create marketing strategies and campaigns that allow IRAD/ WIROL to maximize their profits. This will be done through helping to develop and supporting sales strategies that match consumer requirements as well as promote or services, products and ideas. Thus, identifying products and markets, suggesting sales strategies and approaches, and measuring the results of all the efforts.

 

Job Brief

We are looking for a driven, energetic and creative marketer to drive the company’s marketing efforts to the next level. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities are successful and meet the objectives set by management. The big picture objective is to ensure that all marketing efforts add value to the business.

The ideal prospect must have a passion for marketing, a sharer of knowledge and invite continuous feedback.  S/he will be intricate in decisions regarding our branding, our message, product distribution and sales. More over the prospect must be an effective communicator and work well within a team. The job requires the conversation architect to manage different marketing ventures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General
  1. Create and implement a yearly marketing plan and budget aligned with sales plan.

                                i.      Collaborate with Sales Manager to create marketing plan.

  1. Coordinate with outside agencies, for example designers, to produce marketing material such as stationary and web pages.
  2. Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
  3. Works across the Hudson & Spencer group of companies

 

  • Brand Identity
  1. Review current brand specifications
  2. Create and implement and align brand guide/guidelines with companies’ vision and purpose

                                i.      Establish a consistent look and feel for IRAD

  1. Create processes to ensure compliance to brand guidelines in all areas of work both internally and externally
  2. Work to enhance organization's brand identity

 

  • Content/Copy
  1. Produce creative, engaging, quality articles, brochures, press releases, email marketing, product marketing, presentation content, web copy, survey reports
  2. Build and maintain content calendar and written guidelines

                                i.      Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build a more effective content calendar

  1. Create and oversee the distribution and publication of content for marketing by interacting with graphic designers, external content creators, internal team members, to ensure effective, accurate and consistent messages.

                                i.      Write, edit, improve and proofread marketing material for use in different channels

                               ii.      Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and purpose, by writing clean, concise and well-polished copy.

  1. Continuously measure and improve content performance; create reports leveraging Google Analytics, social media analytics tools
  2. Push the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels, including championing the increased use of data visualization
  3. Deliver engaging content on a regular basis and inspire team members

 

  • Social Media
  1. Ideating, planning, coordinating and implementing a monthly schedule of activities across the following social media platforms (not limited to): Instagram, Linked-In, Tik-tok, Google -biz, Facebook and You Tube

                                i.      Plan ideation sessions

                               ii.      Create more targeted social media campaigns with clearly defined and measurable outcomes:

  1. Company visibility
  2. Product Sales
  3. Product launches

                              iii.      Create multimedia content

                              iv.      Create campaigns around healthcare days/ months that are observed locally and internationally (nurses’ day, AIDS day, Breast Cancer Month etc.)

  1. Ensure our social media message is consistent with all IRAD touch points and communications

 

  • Website
  1. Managing our content management system (CMS)
  2. Creating, implementing, reviewing and updating search engine optimization (SEO) best practice
  3. Ensure our website message is consistent with all IRAD touch points and communications
  4. Review and update if necessary user online journey

 

  • Know Your Customer
  1. Develop customer research databases
  2. Create and implement customer service and KYC surveys
  3. Researching and analyzing data to identify and define audience
  4. Use research conclusions and analysis to determine the overall direction on upcoming marketing projects, new services or products and the overall strategy.

 

  • Products
  1. Create product sell sheets for existing and new products
  2. Recognize, study, survey, and assess market patterns, competitor offerings and demographics to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
  3. Uses research findings and analysis to provide direction to marketing upcoming marketing projects, new products or services, and overall strategy
  4. Establish and implement advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on various media (social, print, radio, etc.)
  5. Identifies areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities
  6. Manage, and execute product launches, brand launches, product exhibitions, industry conferences

 

  • Analytics
  1. Create, implement and maintain metrics-based marketing approach to evaluate the success/failure of all marketing efforts.
  2. Use results and key indicators of metrics-based approach to guide and amend marketing strategies.
  3. Track and record all marketing activities

 

  • Marketing Officer Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related.
  • Proven work experience in marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid knowledge of market research techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of social media and web analytics.
  • Solid understanding of research techniques and statistical data analysis methods.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • Exemplary organizational and multitasking skills
  • Copywriting and graphic/ digital design experience preferred
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach
  • Strategic vision and sharp business acumen
