Job Purpose

To administer the web and social media sites of the Authority.

Strategic Objectives:

  • To maintain and update the website and social media communications infrastructure of the Agency.
  • To create sustainable action plans through strategic research methodologies, to enhance the amount of leads towards the Authority’s Services.
  • To support the determination and provision of resources needed for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the quality management system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Motion Media, Computer Science or a related field, from an accredited college or university or professional work experience in Web Design and Communication
  • A strong portfolio of web site designs, testing and troubleshooting web page features
  • Certification in Web Design/applications and programming
  • Experience working with networking and communications technologies.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in web development and design, visual communications, and programming.  

Job duties & Responsibilities

To maintain and update the web and social media communications infrastructure of the Agency

  • Maintains and updates JSEZA’s website and intranet site(s)
  • Liaises with IT Specialist to ensure that the applications, hardware and telecommunications infrastructure supports the Agency’s on-line communications capability.
  • Updates the content on JSEZA’s internet and intranet sites.
  • Disseminates content across selected social media platforms.
  • Executes daily tasks to monitor all social media outlets and responds to queries accordingly;
  • Manages search engine contents to increase company’s visibility in web searches and on social media platforms;
  • Keeps track of social media trends and incorporates as necessary to main relevance
  • Assists in preparing content for blogs, promotional posts for social networks, and websites
  • Is a member of cross-functional Operational Planning teams, to develop the on-line information operation tactics for Operational Plans that are being developed.
  • Executes the on-line communications activities associated with Tactical Operations that are being conducted.
  • Collates data on the use of the Agency’s online platforms and provides the information to Management.
  • Performs own performance self-assessment and agrees performance assessment with his/her Manager.

To Provide Relevant Research & Engage Relevant Stakeholders, to Support the social media and Communications Infrastructure of the Agency.

  • Provide research findings on the industries relevant to SEZ regime and to inform the Authority of strategies to attract the right stakeholders.
  • To conduct data collection within competing jurisdictions to inform the Authority of ways in which its After Care Unit may anticipate stakeholder’s needs and adequately supply them.
  • Provide evaluative tools through consistent research to determine the best marketing strategies for the Authority’s social media handles.
  • Develop and maintain an operational Social Media Management Strategy through the creation of content calendars, checklists, and templates to disseminate appropriate information to stakeholders and potential stakeholders within the SEZ Regime.
  • To conduct periodical internal website and social media audits, in alignment with the Regulations, to identify world class competitive strategies to ensure the relevance and attractiveness of the Authority’s social media presence.
  • Facilitates and engages meetings with relevant suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the validity and relevance of the Authority’s social media presence.

To Support Control of Documented Information

  • To support the maintenance of documented information required by the International Standard to support the Authority’s Quality Management System.
  • To ensure documented information are available and suitable for use and is adequately protected

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in marketing communications, web and social media tools (e.g. Word Press, SEO, You Tube, Face book, etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of with HTML, XML, TSP, CSS etc. as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, and Flash
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft office products
