LOANS OFFICER II (St. Lucia)
The Loans Officer II is to manage a portfolio of accounts comprising mainly of consumer loans, mortgages,
land loans, home equity loans and unsecured Term plan Loans as well as work closely with the Insurance
Department to maximize cross sales and customer relationship profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Interview applicants for loans and make recommendations for approval.
• Manage portfolio delinquency and maintain delinquency ratios within the agreed corporate targets.
• Undertakes all functions in accordance with credit policy and standards.
• Prepare letters of approval and commitment letters to clients after loan is approved.
• Prepare disbursement Memoranda when the requisite collateral is in place.
• Conduct site visits of houses under construction and take photographs.
• Process interest letters for clients with bridging loans and update loan commitment report as required.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Reports.
• Update loan commitment report as required.
• Any other duties ancillary or related to the foregoing.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in Business Management or related discipline and three (3) years’ experience in underwriting
commercial, credit and consumer loans, in a banking or financial services environment.
OR
• An Associate degree in Accounting and five (5) years’ experience in underwriting commercial, credit and
consumer loans, in a banking or financial services environment.
• Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of consumer credit/financing.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills with specific focus on Word, Excel, and Access.
• Excellent credit analysis and accounting skills.
• Sound customer relationship skills.
