Maintains, supports, and improves information systems and technology at the site and performs business process gap analysis at various business units, identifies opportunities for digital transformation, develops solutions/applications (Web or Mobile) and deploys at the business.

This position reports to the Manager, N&P IDS.

 

What you will do:


•    Works as a member of IT team and performs duties in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner
•    Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving information systems and technology at the site
•    Performs business Process gap analysis at various business units, identifies opportunities for digital transformation,          develops solutions/applications (Web or Mobile) and deploys at the business
•    Translates conceptual business requirements into functional requirements in a way that is understandable to                    developers/project team
•    Works with Enterprise Application team to develop and implement enterprise solutions at the site
•    Provides Application support for Corporate and locally hosted applications
•    Liaises with 3rd party vendors for support, patch management, upgrades or configuration change to the existing              systems and ensures that proper change management and system administration best practices are implemented            and adhered to
•    Provides Tier 1 user support for computer hardware, software, peripherals, and desk/cellular phones at the site   
•    Uses best-practice techniques and standards within defined work processes, procedures and guidelines
•    Responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service tickets in a timely manner through call logging            system (ServiceNow). Prioritizes and appropriately escalates issues to assure timely problem resolution
•    Provides basic to advance system administration and monitoring of data center, network, workstations, printers,              communication equipment
•    Collaborate with Corporate IDS teams in executing infrastructure and cyber security projects and initiatives at site
•    Participate in on-call rotation as necessary
•    Keeps up to date with industry standards, trends, and best practices through professional networks in the field

•    Critical thinking - ability to understand and analyze problems and find solutions
•    Analytical Skills – the position requires analyzing data, documents, workflows, and user inputs to find solutions to a          business problem
•    Good documentation Skills – capture requirements, process documentation, Reports/ Dashboards, use of BA tools
•    Implements Change Management and system administration best practices
•    Ability to work under the pressure of tight timelines. The position should be able to effectively manage their time,            set priorities, and resolve problems in a timely manner
•    Working knowledge of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
•    Industry Knowledge: Certain degree of industry knowledge is also required

 

Qualifications:
•    Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field from a recognized university
•    3 Years in systems analysis, application development and support
•    Experience in the areas of operating systems, hardware, and general software products.  Knowledge of Business              Systems
•    Knowledge of Application Development Tools/methodologies including .NET Suite, CSS, HTML, MySQL and scripting -        PHP, Python etc
•    Industry related experience, System administration and Technical Certification from Microsoft, Cisco or other related        vendors is a plus
