Job description:

 

Job Title: Dispatch Coordinator (6-month Contract)

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

 

The Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, administrating and reporting on the successful installation of services to Digicel business clients. The key interfaces for the role will be members of the project team as well as third party contractors.

This position is a 6-month contract (in the first instance) with the potential of a month to month renewal. 

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Schedule/reschedule installation jobs and associated resources on a daily basis.
  • Perform desktop quality compliance checks on installations completed daily
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to all jobs that may be at risk of not being completed on the assigned date and times.
  • Maintain visibility on all rostered jobs and track to completion.
  • Support daily operations call to plan schedule of installations for the upcoming day/week.
  • Support with resolving infield issues encountered by infield technicians or advise of proper procedure to resolve issues encountered.
  • Provide support to internal departments including, B2B, Finance, Support, Network Operations & PMO.
  • Produce productivity reports on daily performance of field teams.
  • Support the maintenance of strong effective relationships with Digicel’s contracting partners

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

  • 5 CXC passes including Mathematics and English.
  • Computer Literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office:

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Two years’ experience working in a related role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power Bi and Microsoft Power Apps will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of FTTx networks as well as tools and equipment used in its installation will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and develop schedules based on demographics, time and priority
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to work and learn in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Work well both independently and as a team player, prioritize the execution of projects and meet deadlines whilst working in a demanding environment

 

 

 

Functional Skills:

 

  • Ability to read, analyze, and generate reports required
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers, or members of the business community 
  • Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
