Line Cook/ Customer Service Representative

Line Cook/ CSR must be focused on Sanitation, Organisation and Preparation of Meals to ensure a high quality and consistency. Whilst providing quality service to all customers and demonstrating commitment to improvement of service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CSR/ Administration

  • Engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions, recommendations and up sell menu items
  • Ensure that common areas and washrooms are kept clean at the beginning and end of your shift.
  • Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations. Ensure drawer is balanced in opening and closing of shift

 Technical/ Production

  • Set up and maintain a clean workstation area, ensuring that the kitchen, all food prep areas; equipment and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
  • Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
  • Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products, Exercise FI and FO at all times
  • Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes, utilizing our serving portion sizes, and ensuring uniform presentation
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at workstation and meeting prep times to ensure organized and sanitary workflow.
  • Work with team to do portion preparation work when needed
  • Ensure all food items are cooked to required doneness/temperature, chilled/frozen to predetermined temperature within its predetermined time.
  • Daily and weekly inspection of supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.

Communication/ Attitude/ Teamwork

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Efficiently handle duties under pressure with minimal supervision. Display a positive attitude towards work. Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
  • Effective in working with others to achieve team goals and to ensure service standards are maintained. Be a valued team player by taking measures to assist your team members.
  • Communicate to Manger/ Supervisor on shift should stock levels need replenishing or does not meet quality standards
  • Communicate to Manager/ Supervisor on shift should any equipment need maintenance
  • Adhere to Company Rules & Regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Resume and proven working experience with at least eight (8) years working experience in the field
  • Excellent knowledge of in food prep and customer service
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus
  • Relevant training certificate
