Security Agent - Investigations

The incumbent will conduct background and external investigations on matters directly and indirectly affecting the company with an aim to mitigate security and reputational risk to the Company.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Security Agent (Investigations) will report to the Senior Manager, Security.  The incumbent will conduct background and external investigations on matters directly and indirectly affecting the company with an aim to mitigate security and reputational risk to the Company.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Investigations: Executes and coordinates investigations on new hires and existing employees as directed by the Security Manager and accordance with the CAL HR Policy and Procedures Manual;

• Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and investigative reports, with a view to supporting effective decision-making.

• Compliance:- Ensures that all investigations are in compliance with existing policies, and procedures with local and international regulatory requirements including conducting investigations on operational issues.

• Stakeholder Relationship Management: Maintains relationships with relevant, law enforcement agencies, legal teams and court officers as required, throughout the investigation process.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

You are required to have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Security investigations.  You must also possess at least a Diploma in Security Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. You must provide evidence of formal training in investigations.  You are required to possess working knowledge of local and international security regulatory requirements.  You must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite in particular, MS Word and MS Excel. 

You must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills especially for report writing.  You must be able to multi-task, be flexible and exhibit accuracy when working with details.  The incumbent must demonstrate strong problem solving, time management and organisational skills.  You must also be able to handle confidential information appropriately
