Overview of the opportunity:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).  The Clients’ Procurement function is expanding operations at JESS to support multiple Procurement processes. 

The position will be assigned to our rapidly growing KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (K-JESS), which provides services to a major client in the United States.

Job Summary

The JESS Procurement Senior Officer will initially be responsible for leading the migration of contractual documents from SharePoint to the new Contract Lifecycle Management tool.  The successful candidate may be asked to participate in other implementation activities of the new Purchase to Pay system.  Upon completion of these activities, the successful candidate will facilitate and support the procurement process for indirect spend including technology, publications/subscriptions, office supplies, branded merchandise and other indirect categories utilizing the Coupa platform.  This may include support of the upstream contracting as well as downstream request for proposal and procure to pay processes within Coupa.  You will work and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality product, on time delivery, accurate quantity, correct invoicing and resolve discrepancies.  

Core functions

  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring all contractual documents are migrated timely from SharePoint to Coupa
  • Act as first point of contact for bids and requests for proposals (RFP’s) within Coupa
  • Fulfill purchasing and contracting requests submitted through the Coupa P2P platform or Inquiry Express
  • Respond to general inquiries submitted to the general email boxes and direct purchase requests to Coupa when required
  • Educate end users on how to submit proper purchase requests when the need arises
  • Main point of contact for SSP Management and Process Owners to communicate and collaborate on all aspects of the Coupa contract migration project
  • Proactively and effectively communicates when any issues arise in the process and proactively brainstorms ideas to overcome the challenges

Education/Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Professional Accreditation
  • Minimum 3+ years’ relevant work experience within Procurement supporting all process areas listed within the requirements.
