Provides financial advice to VM Wealth and prospective High NetworthClients (HNC), aimed at building a profitable and diversified portfolio.
Establish a sales plan and deliver the plan through proven business acquisition and client relationship building skills.
Contribute to the revenue generation targets of the through concentrated and focused business development activities including networking, cold-calling, prospecting and leads generation of HNC.
Actively seeking to build and manage a portfolio for HNC, recommending from our suite of financial products and services in keeping with their individual risk profile, objectives and lifestyle.
Creating and maintaining a profitable HNC base through active prospecting and relationship management, ensuring timely and constant communication is maintained at all times.
Interview HNC to obtain information required for financial planning. Analyzesinformation obtained and determines strategies to be employed in meeting HNC financial goals.
Researching and investigating available investment opportunities to determine suitability with financial plans and make recommendations accordingly.
Reviewing HNC portfolios regularly, to determine whether life changes, economic changes, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment.
Liaises constantly with HNC regarding the purposes and details of financial plans and strategies, providing updates on performance and ongoing recommendations
Facilitates the new account opening process, ensuring all requisite documents are received and completed appropriately, and the accounts are set up and verified in keeping with the company’s established procedures.
Guide HNC on relevant procedures for executing transactions relating to equities, fixed income, mutual funds, unit trust, retirement accounts, loans, etc. and facilitates the processing of these transactions.
Provides HNC with timely updates on investment instruments maturing, coupon payments due, fees payable, equities settlements, etc. and ensuring their instructions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
Receives, verifies and follow up to ensure clients’ requests relating to payments, standing orders, receipts, equities, letters, statements, etc. are processed within a timely manner.
Explains and documents for HNC the types of services that are to be provided, and the responsibilities to be taken by the personal financial advisor.
Ensures information accessed is handled in accordance with the Information Security (IS) Policy.
Report on sales progress, new business development, portfolio performance and obstacles to performance at the appropriate meetings
Prepares and delivers Presentations to prospects and clients, assessing the results and conducting follow-upsas necessary.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
B.Sc., Business Administration, Economics, Finance or any other related field
Minimum of 7 years’ sales and relationship management experience in the financial services industry. (preferable HighNetworthclients.
Licensed by Financial Services Commission or suitable Candidate for Licensing by the FSC
Thorough knowledge of the Jamaican Securities market
Jamaican Securities Certification
FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Comprehensive knowledge of VM Wealth’s suite of products and services, financial instruments, laws and applicable regulations
Sound knowledge of financial markets and target marketing
Proven expertise in selling techniques including needs-oriented sales approach with knowledge of applicable jargons
Proven ability to be agile, responsive and flexible
Proven customer service skills and strong sales orientation.
Thorough knowledge of the Jamaican Securities market
Knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel,)Technical ability to assess performance of portfolios and particular assetsand to interpret trends and analyses which may be used in developing projections and providing recommendations.
