BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) ANALYST

Key Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the BI Architect, the BI Analyst analyzes, designs, and populates data models for departments within Republic Bank Limited. Ensure data quality and integrity of the data warehouse.
• Assists in the development and coordination of the bank’s use of its Enterprise databases. Responsible for design, implementation and testing of new data warehouse features such as creation of new reporting structures, the integration of new data sources, data source identification, developing/validating required data mappings, developing business rules for data transformation and authoring queries.
• Creates debugs and runs SQL scripts to conduct data analysis, accuracy validation, data maintenance; performs database fine tuning adjustments and database security. Creates, debugs and executes operating system scripts to start, stop, monitor, and analyze database systems.
• Administers databases including backups/restores, data migration, export/import of data and database duplication for development and/or test databases separate from the production database. Implements automated procedures for backup recovery of database.
• Performs complex tuning of databases to maintain and continually improves performance levels and space allocation configurations.
• Work with business users to determine reporting requirements. Provide instruction, training, and support for end-users working with custom applications; perform specific development tasks related to the reporting and analysis tool(s).
• Designs, writes and maintains documentation related to all work developed.
• Coordinates the work of consultants and other contract staff;
• Collaborate with Data & Reporting Specialists and end-users to resolve data quality issues.
• Develops Enterprise applications/suites that are used to maintain timely and accurate data to bank’s employees.
• Adds/removes users to the database; maintains current passwords.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or a related field
• Five (5) years’ experience in administration, maintenance, and implementation of database application.
• Knowledgeable in DTS and/or other ETL tools.
• Must have a high level of competence writing and tuning SQL queries.
• Must have superlative troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with data structures for reporting

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) ARCHITECT

Key Responsibilities:

• The Business Intelligence Architect’s role is to strategically design and implement the data warehouse and its relationship with all enterprise data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability
• Manage, develop and coordinate the efficient planning and scheduling of the complex tasks and workloads across the Business Intelligence computing platforms.
• Analyze systems and human resource capacity and confers with management on the appropriate/optimum allocation of systems and personnel to achieve maximum efficiencies; participates in system maintenance and support.
• Participates in data analysis and design, focusing on and leading the areas of data integration architecture, data management and data migration. Data architecture and data management includes data analysis and design, master data management, reference data management, multimedia data management, database administration, data security management, metadata management, data warehousing, business intelligence, and data quality improvement.
• Administers databases including backups/restores, data migration, export/import of data and database duplication for development and/or test databases separate from the production database;
• Performs complex tuning of databases to maintain and continually improve performance levels and space allocation configurations;
• Implement plans and procedures for data security, integrity and privacy by arranging for backup operations, terminal security, data security and password protection in order to conform to RBL and departmental policies.
• Provides expert level knowledge, skill and experience to the Business Analyst, ETL Developer, BI Developer, applications Systems Analysts and IT management; Serves as 3rd tier technical support on various applications.
• Supervise Business Analyst, ETL Developer and BI Developer in the assigned work unit and oversees the performance of routine scheduling, problem-solving and maintenance/support functions as appropriate.
• Participate in the system selection process for application software in the RBL group. Provide guidance and direction on technology matters to IT senior management. Participates in new application rollouts and upgrades by reviewing vendor provided technical documentation, understanding the implications of the changes and building plans for incorporating the changes into the bank’s environment.
• Determine the overall strategy for end user delivery. This includes organization of aggregate layer structures, organization of the reporting structure and techniques for sharing end user tool objects and business rules.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or a related field
• Formal training in Systems Analysis and Design and IT Project Management would be considered an asset
• Five (5) to six (6) years’ experience, with at least two (2) years at the senior level, in the information systems field, including programming, systems and database analysis or directly related experience which demonstrates the knowledge and ability to supervise other IS Analysts, or communicate expert knowledge of current and emerging techniques to a project team, or which demonstrates the highest technical expertise.
• Two (2) to three (3) years in the administration of a data warehouse or similar enterprise data management system.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) DEVELOPER

Key Responsibilities:

• The BI Developer gathers user information, business process and business rules requirements, then designs, creates reports, views or dashboards, and in conjunction with his/her knowledge of the enterprise data schema, rolls out BI solutions to end users.
• The BI Developer is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to – or new requirements for – business processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures.
• This individual is responsible for standardizing data naming, establishing consistent data definitions, and monitoring overall data quality and integrity. Support analysis and development of the data model.
• Assists the end user in testing reports/views delivered.
• Provide instruction, training, and support for end-users working with custom reporting applications; perform specific development tasks related to the reporting and analysis tool(s).
• Designs, writes and maintains documentation related to all work developed, including business process, business rules, and data requirements.
• Works continually with the BI Architect and BI Developer to refine existing queries and reports, ensuring that they remain as quick and efficient as possible
• Collaborate with BI team and end-users to resolve data quality issues.
• Assist in maintenance of metadata repositories. Ensure business process model adheres to the Enterprise Architecture and aligns to the bank’s data management policies.
• Create/modify/delete user and group permissions within reporting tool to ensure users get access to the data they need

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or a related field
• Five (5) years’ experience in administration, maintenance, and implementation of database application
