Restaurant Supervisor

Summary:
An established west coast restaurant is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Restaurant Supervisor. This seasoned supervisor will motivate the team and directly assist in the daily operations and management of the restaurant, by ensuring the highest level of customer service, meal preparation, and team care is achieved.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the day to day operations of the restaurant (front and back of house)
• Greets and seat guests, address customer complaints and queries.
• Resolving staff issues as they may arise.
• Properly forecasts and orders stock using the just-in-time delivery methodology.
• Controlling stock and managing turnover to prevent spoilage and wastage.
• Oversees the hiring and training of new staff members.
• Plans weekly staff Rota.
• Ensures compliance with HSSE protocols.
• Works with staff to implement new signature dishes and cocktails.
• Liaises with external contractors/vendors to execute preventative maintenance tasks.
• Recommends ways to attract new clientele.
• Capable of hosting groups and plan small events.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years working in the hospitality and tourism industry
• Minimum of 5 years being in a supervisory/management position.
• Ability to work shift as is customary in the hospitality industry.
• Competent in the use of PCs and Office suites.
• Competent in the use of Electronic Point of Sale Systems.
• Familiar with technology (Mobile apps, televisions, Cable TV Systems, HDMI Matrix Switches, Wi-Fi, Audio Systems)
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities

 
Remuneration:
The remuneration offered will be based on skills and experience.
