Opportunity Overview:

KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The HR Quality Management team is responsible to handling time sensitive Job and Personal Data updates using various applications and systems and delivering quality results to avoid downstream system and financial impact to employee and firm.

 Job Profile

As the Data and Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Events and Meetings (E&M) programs meet independence clearance regulations. As the successful candidate, you will be accountable for operational/risk and compliance process support, process improvement, data management and reporting as it relates to our compliance and event management software, as well as other business critical E&M processes. You will perform work of a technical and analytical nature requiring special skills, training, and related experience; and apply knowledge while performing duties according with standard operating procedures, independent judgement, and firm policies to complete moderate to complex processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for Independence clearance for applicable Event and Meetings (E&M) programs, utilizing extensive knowledge of Sentinel to manage entities and other required information, update Sentinel reports, and forward Sentinel Lead Partner communications or questions to the E&M compliance manager.
  • Coordinate E&M Continuous Professional Education (CPE) responsibilities utilizing knowledge of our learning platform, Learning and Development (L&D) CPE requirements, and current E&M process. 
  • Manage the CPE mailbox, review documents for E&M submissions, and communicate with planners and the HRSC team on issues and edits.
  • Manage data integrity and ensure Quality Control (QC) of program data by updating our event management system (Cvent). Produce reporting to demonstrate QC status, manage the compliance mailbox, and coordinate other reporting deliverables for the Business Insights team.
  • Responsible for ensuring E&M Document Retention is compliant by comparing and auditing the Cvent reporting against the Document Retention shared drive files.
  • Provide as needed organizational and project management support to the E&M Resource Management process. Make recommendations on optimal role assignments by leveraging data and reporting from Cvent and communicate these assignments to the planning team.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in reporting and event management or project management software, preferably with a professional services firm or corporation.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgement skills.
  • Able to work quickly, with an eye toward accuracy and a bias for detail.
  • Ability to work with large/complex excel spreadsheets.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
