The HR Administrator will execute all HR functions to support and improve the company’s daily operations to include supporting current staff by dealing with employee grievances or conflicts. He/She will work in partnership with management to deliver HR strategic business goals and initiatives.

 

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Administrator is responsible for executing all human resources functions to support and improve the company’s daily operations to include supporting current staff by dealing with employee grievances or conflicts. The incumbent is expected to work in partnership with all departments to deliver HR strategic business goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies /procedures and systems.
  • Maintaining HRIS records, ensuring data integrity and compiles reports from database as required.
  • Update and maintain the company’s performance management system; Administering and generating reports after the annual review.
  • Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with management team to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Develop, update and implement policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Guiding Management on all disciplinary matters by reviewing/ approving and handling any disciplinary processes and grievances.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitating HR Training for managers and employees on relevant HR content, as needed.
  • Generate HR reports and participates in various business reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Serves as an in-house expert in relation to laws governing occupational safety and health, wage, and labour relations.

 

 Key Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of Jamaican Labour Laws and Industrial Relations practices
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management practices.
  • Must be persuasive and demonstrates critical thinking
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • The ability to work independently with little or no supervision

 Minimum Required Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management.
