Compliance Business Intelligence Analyst supports in the coordination of compliance activities and ensure that the Society’s systems, policies, procedures, and practices comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and reduce risk exposure to the Group.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or Computer Science.
  •  AML/CFT Training
  • Certification in AML/CFT/PG from a recognised institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a regulated financial institution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of Compliance, Risk, and Strategic Reports internally and to the Designated Authority and Regulators.
  • Coordinate and review the submission of AML/KYC reports to the Regulators and Competent Authorities
  • Provide assistance in obtaining and preparing reports on compliance issues
  • Implement measures to mitigate risk that may result in impairment or loss of Corresponding Banking Relationship

Training

  • Assist in developing AML/CFT/PF training material and conduct training for staff.
  • Issue advisories on regulatory changes to AML/CFT/PF regulations and new legislations and laws
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on changes in the regulatory landscape

 Operations

  • Conduct due diligence, monitoring and analysis of customer trends/patterns
  • Assist in Branch/Business Unit reviews
  • Provide systems and implement measures to ensure the management of AML/CFT/PF Compliance, Risk and General Management decisions
  • Review, document and analyze agreed business processes to facilitate the identification of process inefficiencies
  • Assist in policy and procedure reviews and implement system/procedural changes to address inefficiencies, breaches, or gaps in the Compliance function
  • Design forms and documents to improve the efficiency of the Compliance function
  • Provide support to Projects and Initiatives to effectively assess AML Risk and ensuring adequacy of compliance

 Risk Management

  • Keep abreast of changes in applicable AML/CFT/PF legislation and provide support to the Compliance Unit in implementing policies and procedures to support the change
  • Identify risk exposure in customer behaviour in the Society and across SBUs as deemed necessary
  • Implement policies and procedures to effect Self-Assessment
  • Assist with the identification and Assessment of Risk Registers
  • Monitoring of trends and effecting systems to address existing or adverse trends

     Miscellaneous

  • Address any other Compliance related matter
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
